One night while having a beer at anchorage during the Memorial Day festivities,  I realized a 42" plasma flat screen
would fit in the entertainment center. After a few more beers I was sure it would fit.

After 9 years the old system was just getting the "Thumbs Down". My friends deserve better and it would be way cooler.
Friday night on the way to the boat Karen and I picked up a new 42". How convenient I had all the power tools in the car.

I lured Chuck over with the promise of a beer, Karen was happy he took over.

At one point I said to Chuck "quit measuring and let me drill" I never get it perfect on the first try anyways.

I also moved the AMP and DVD player to a better spot. The VCR and 25 disk CD changer are in the dumpster if you want them.
I also removed 100 VCR tapes and 600 CD's.    NO 90's technology on my Yacht.
And why I had it all open it was a good time to install a 100MB network, 802.11 B/G wireless and a wireless uplink to the internet.

I added a Dell 4600 Multimedia computer and have over 25,000 MP3 songs on the boat.
The TV has a SVGA port so I no longer needed the 19" flat panel for the computer.
I also added a wireless keyboard and mouse to make surfing possible from the couch.

I also mounted the Computer and Satellite box to the side. Nice touch with the black carpet.

It's very difficult to take a picture of the whole system. Here is my best shot.

Way Cooler!
