The Racecar, Phase 3

Body panels from Hank at GT-Racing
that will go on the car.  They arrived in several large, extremely light boxes on
7/7/98.   Everything is fiberglass and carbon fiber construction.  Looks like I
have to choose wether to go to the LPR/GGR Autocross on Saturday/Sunday or start putting
these panels on.   What would you do?  I think I'm going to stay home and get
      greasy!

Part 1 - Front fenders, front bumper, front hood, rear
      wing.
7/13/98 - Finished the front end replacement of the hood, fenders, bumper and rear
wing.  This was quite a project but not all that difficult.  The panels from GT Racing fit extremely well which helped
tremendously.  Hank makes a fantastic product!
      Part 1 Pictures:

    Front end completly disassembled

Front hood uses existing mounting bolts and hardware.

All panels mounted. This was an all day Saturday
project. About 8 hours total including disassembly.

The front end finished & rear wing installed

      Part 2 - Rear Quarters.
7-29-98 - This job is a bit more tricky... the rear quarters actually have to be cut off
of the car by drilling out all of the spot welds and then the new ones "glued"
on with "Corvette Panel Adhesive" (thanks for the pointers, Hank!).  I opted to have my body shop do this
work.  $800 and two days later and they'll look as good as new!

Part 2 Pictures - these are at the bodyshop with work in
    progress
Rear quarter in place and ready for 11" wheels!

Lots of cuts and gluing.  The screws hold the panel in place
as the glue dries and are then removed afterwards.

Again, screws hold the panel in place
    while the glue dries.

Clamps & screws hold the panel in place while the glue dries.
More pictures to come after I pick up the car...
